Pastor Greg Cumberland was called by the Lord into the ministry at age thirty-three following a three-year enlistment in the U.S. Army. From September 1992 to May 1996, Pastor Cumberland was an Associate Pastor at Madison Square Christian Reformed Church. Pastor Cumberland, under the leadership of Co-Pastors Dante A. Venegas and David Beelen, was called by God to be the church Youth Pastor. Pastor Cumberland led the Men’s ministry and was a member of the Preaching, Teaching and Prayer Ministries at Madison Square Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In 2012, God led Pastor Cumberland and his family to First Church of God where Bishop Timothy J. Clarke is the Senior Pastor. In April 2014, Pastor Cumberland was appointed the Ministry Coordinator for First Church of God. As Ministry Coordinator, Pastor Cumberland facilitated open communication, coordination, and connection between ministries at First Church of God. Pastor Cumberland, developed a ministry policy and procedure manual and leadership development curriculum.

Pastor Cumberland earned a Masters of Ministry Degree from Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in in Business Administration from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. He is the author of the book, “Life After Calamity” published by Westbow Press. Pastor Cumberland’s passion is sharing the love of Jesus Christ and building up the Body of Christ, through preaching and teaching the Word of God. Pastor Cumberland and his wife, Judy Cumberland are the proud parents of two children Iyanna and Isaiah.
